In October 1995 I created stichini consulting to offer strategic facilitation, project management and contract services across a broad spectrum of businesses, with particular relevance to the Oil & Gas Downstream industry, in the following areas:

> Facilitate Business & Eco-Tourism Strategy, Introductions, Appointments & Meetings and Secure Investors’ Relationships in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Lusophone & Francophone Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands in matters related to Investment, Joint Venture, Marketing Strategy, Logistics, Eco-Tourism, Tender and Trading.
Lead and facilitate discussions from initial research to conclusive negotiations and project implementation across cultural, customs and language barriers.

> Manage the Development, Implementation & Administration of Projects in a staff or line position as a Contractor and/or Interim Manager.
*** I may also be retained subsequently to participate in the management of the established business.

> Provide Logistics Support Services, Supply Chain Management know-how and Implement Associated Projects in the areas of procurement, transportation, storage & handling, inventory control & distribution, inclusive of Customs & Excise Export / Import matters.
*** The ability to do so in Portuguese, French & English and, to a lesser extent in Spanish, is an invaluable and unique competitive advantage.

> Offer Comprehensive Interpretation and Translation Services in Portuguese, French and, to a lesser extent in Spanish, across a wide spectrum of subject matters.

Personal Introduction & Profile

I was born in Bangui, Central African Republic, in 1946 and was raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo up to the age of 14.
I then spent three years in Europe (Belgium and Portugal) and lived in Moçambique for seven years, four of which were spent in the Portuguese Army (Engineering Corps) prior to immigrating to South Africa in 1970.
I began my professional career at Sonarep S.A. (Pty) Ltd. in 1970 and joined Mobil Oil (Southern Africa) (Pty) Ltd. in 1972.
Following Mobil Oil’s disinvestment sale of its Southern Africa assets, Engen Petroleum Ltd. was created and I progressed to Manager; Operations Logistics and ultimately to Planning Associate; Logistics, Manufacturing, Shipping & Trading in Head Office, Cape Town, South Africa.
I am well acquainted with sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Francophone & Lusophone countries as well as Western Europe.

My personal and professional background, coupled with the knowledge of the sub-continent geography, languages, customs, traditions, business ethics and the ability to lead discussions, negotiate and market products across cultural barriers and undertake working contracts across Africa, form the nucleus of my competitive advantage.

I look forward to collaborate with companies presently doing business in Africa, but experiencing difficulties, and new investors to sub-Saharan Africa on the basis of the synergies that may arise to participate in Business Initiatives, Projects, Contract Work and/or Joint Ventures in sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.
